4. Restart your Machine

8. If that does not solve the problem contact us directly via email
Sometimes Protected Music Converter for Mac is waiting for iTunes to burn but iTunes does not start the burn. This can happen for several reasons but the underlying cause is that iTunes gets busy and misses the Start burn command from Protected Music Converter for Mac. In this case you need to go to iTunes and manually start the CD Burn. Protected Music Converter for Mac will continue after that.

Known issues:
If you experience ANY problem the first thing to do is try a brand new CD+RW (not CD-R), and follow the steps described above under Troubleshooting.

Even with that sometimes, iTunes may become unresponsive, if that happens quit Protected Music Converter for Mac, quit iTunes and start again as described above under the heading To use Protected Music Converter for Mac. Protected Music Converter for Mac will continue from the last converted track, it will not start again from scratch.
Ripped track count mismatch (got 0, expected n). This is a bug in iTunes that Protected Music Converter for Mac v3.0 should solve. If you see this problem make sure you are using Protected Music Converter for Mac v3.
Re-importing music after burning to CD-RW results in a freeze or results in no tracks being found. This problem is the result of trying to use flakey optical CD-RW media. To solve the problem do the steps described above under Troubleshooting.

Question 1. "Burning the gathered tracks to CD-RW"and "Burning the gathered tracks to CD-RW" error
iTunes says the songs cannot be burned to a disk until they are authorized; the Protected Music Converter for Mac just stays in the "Burning the gathered tracks to CD-RW" mode stating, "Waiting for iTunes burned CD to mount." I have the .m4p songs ON the CD-RW. How can I simply just convert these from the disc using the DRM Converter?
Answer:
Having .m4p songs on a CD is not correct. The songs need to be on the hard disk and in the iTunes library. If the computer is not authorised then the songs cannot be converted. The solution is to login to the iTunes store and authorise the computer.
Question 2: How to authorize my Apple Mac OS X?
Answer:
Open iTunes and select "Authorize Computer..." from the "Store" menu. Enter your username and password and press "Authorize" button.

Question 3. "Ripped track count mismatch...." error
Your program with this album display the error "Ripped track count mismatch...." and stop.
Answer: This album contain as the first song: 'S Wonderfull
The special character as the first of the title determine the malfunction. It is unknown characters by Protected Music Converter for Mac program.
Question 4. "the files cannot be burned to a CD" error
I am getting a message that the files cannot be burned to a CD...nothing else happens?
Answer: I need to see the log messages and a screen capture of the exact message text that is being displayed.
Question 5: "Waiting for iTunes to gather Tracks" error
I keep getting this:
2007-10-11 17:51:36 -0700 P1: Waiting for iTunes to gather Tracks.
2007-10-11 17:51:38 -0700 P1: iTunes returned this number: 0
2007-10-11 17:51:38 -0700 P1: No more tracks to convert - exiting.
Answer: This indicates that there are no tracks to burn.
Tracks are picked like this:
1. All tracks that contain the word for protected are selected.
In some cases customers put something incorrect in that field.
The solution for those customers is to tab to that field and press the delete key so that it is empty.
If the field is empty all tracks in the library are selected
2. The results from step 1 are checked to make sure the file exists on hard disk, the file extension is .m4p, and the length of the track is less than 60 minutes
3. The results from step 2 are processed.
Usually doing step 1 solves this problem for most people.
Question 6.
every time it gets to the actual importing at the end it just shows a big X and says this 2007-10-11 14:29:48 -0500 P4: Ripped track count mismatch (got 0, expected 17) -- exiting

Question 11.
My mac does not recognize it. When I click on the blank page icon on my desk top that I have downloaded, it asks me to choose an application. This means, to me, it ain't gonna work, period.
How can I make this software work?
Answer: The sounds like you does not have the correct .dmg file or does not have OS X 10.3 or later. You need to find out if you have OS X 10.3 or later and if the downloaded .dmg file is the correct size (i.e. proper download)

Protected AAC audio file. On non-English systems a different word is used. For example in French its protégé and in German its Geschützt. If you don't know what word to use just tab to the field and hit the delete key. Having the correct word makes it faster, its not needed otherwise.
In this Playlist
- Normally you do the entire Library. But you can make just a smaller list, maybe only 1 album, and convert just it by picking the name of the playlist in the popup.
iTunes burns CDs Using:
- Its the menu item under the FIle menu that iTunes uses to burn a CD. In English its
Burn Playlist to Disc. Don't change it unless its wrong.
To the left of the Convert DRM button is a popup that lets you pick the format to convert to. By default its MP3 but you can select any supported iTunes format. Its basically a list of iTunes importers. DRM Converter will select whatever importer is shown in the popup.
